HEALTH
TO YOUR GOOD HEALTH
Being healthy is no accident! Healthy is not only a state of body but a state of mind as well. It takes working at to be a healthy person. We all have heard about the benefits of exercise over and over again. All fine and good you say but if you're like most people, exercising becomes a chore to be avoided like the plague. Well did you know that exercise comes in all flavors these days?! Hate to exercise try swimming 3 or 4 times a week 20-30 minutes each time, or how about bicycling on these beautiful fall days. Don't forget that even a brisk walk for 20-30 minutes, 4-5 days a week can fill the bill for exercise. Research in a new field called "psyconeuroinmunology" being conducted at San Francisco University shows that a chemical called endrophin in produced in the brain by exercise, (among other things) which acts very much like a natural stimulant a kind of natural high!
Another important aspect of healthy living that can not be overlooked is your diet. The human body must maintain.a. delicate natural balance of vitamins and minerals in order to function at it's maximum potential. It is virtually impossible to be properly nourished on the typical American diet of burgers, fries and pizza all you junk food junkies out there know who you are! Eating fresh vegetables and fruit, eliminating all sugar and white flour is a good place to start, if you're serious about being healthy. Next, you should consider taking a good multivitamin daily supplement. Women need to add Vitamin E and Calcium to their diets in addition. With the cold and flu season coming up you should also include Vitamin C supplement as a preventative measure. Paavo Airola in his book Everywoman's Book (don't let the title fool you guys it's good advice for you too) says that 100 to 200 mg. of Vitamin C a day for maintenance of normal healthy functions of your body are adequate, however when you take the same vitamin in large doses say 5,000 to 10,000 mg. a day it will assume totally different functions and act as a harmless antibotic, prevent and cure colds having a natural anti-histamine effect, speeding the bodies own natural healing process in virtually every case of ill health and increase, sexual virility!
Dr. Paul Pearsall, PhD. director of Problems of Daily Living Clinc at Detroit's Sinai Hospital recently gave the keynote address at a conference I attended. He listed the following points concerning having a healthy, happy life:
1. Have one person in your environment with a high level of willness (emotional)
2. Have at least one person you can feel comfortable sharing, (disclosing) your deepest thoughts and feelings to.
3. Regular sensory motor experience (exercise)
4. Tangiable nourishment eat a rain-. bow! (1,00 calories a day)
pleasurably
5. Be touched every day (we all get shoved, punched, and poked, but a very basic human need is to be "touched")
6. Prolonged productivity retirement can be deadly!
7. Passivity this doesn't mean letting. everyone use you as a rug, it simply means realizing that not everything is going to go exactly as you planned and some things we have NO control over.
8. Last but certainly not least sexual activity seeing this as a natural part of living to be enjoyed not as a marathon or sexual athletics but really sensually enjoyed and savored!
Until next time
